An Inspiration And More Importantly Friend

As I ponder on what I should make my first ever blog post, I immediately know it should revolve around my inspiration and motivation (and also sometimes the root of my frustration). He aided me greatly in helping me finally construct LES Is More: my older brother, Max Sheridan. Without actually saying it, he has taught me the most significant rule which I live by everyday. Through his daring actions and unbelievable persistence I have learned to never fear the fall. He has unknowingly taught me that I will fail, I will want to give up, and I will beat myself up over minor details which others won't pay attention to. Although this is significant information to know, what's more important is not being afraid of it. By fearing it, you are refusing the truth and you are blinding yourself to the inevitable path of life which is an unfortunate thing to do and will prove later on to bring you down rather than support you.

Even though this is only my first post, it will soon become evident that I use poetry as an outlet and technique to express my most deeply rooted feelings. It is only fitting that I incorporate some of the poetry I have written about Max into this post, but I wanted to give it a twist so I used his painting as backgrounds for the poems. After all, he is someone who I look up to greatly and has helped me rethink success and possibility for the better. Because of his ability to turn my life into a journey rather than task, I will always be appreciative of him and all he's done for not just me, but everyone even if it goes unrecognized.
